Agnes Iemma

Iemma, Agnes Ann, 80, of 29 McGuire Rd, died September 21, 2008 at her home. Born in North Providence she was a daughter of the late John and Mary "Connie" (Cappuccilli) Iemma.

She had worked for many years in the quality control department of Meller Optics and Laser Research. Agnes was a former member of the Maple Gardens I Association and its Bocce League. She was a great admirer of Judy Garland and was an active member of the Doris Day Animal League and the St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital.

Agnes leaves her sister-in-law Patricia Iemma, a niece Jacqueline Celona and her husband Anthony, three nephews, John Iemma, Jr. and his wife Rosemarie, Michael Iemma and his wife Kerrie, and Steven Iemma and his wife Sandy, six great-nephews, four great-nieces, and one great-great niece. She was sister of the late John A. Iemma, Sr..

Her funeral and visitation will be held Thursday from 9:30 to 10:30 AM from the ROBBINS FUNERAL HOME, 2251 Mineral Spring Ave, North Providence, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 AM in Mary, Mother of Mankind Church. Burial will be in St. Ann Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1942.
